The dealership said there's no major difference between both and asked me to go ahead and buy what they have on the lot. I think that was more of a Sales tactic. Any thoughts on your experience between RWD and AWD?

Sep 12, 2022 · You can find "pros" to justify a RWD X5, but personally I would never buy one; and, resale will always stink and it will always be much, much harder to sell.

Mar 14, 2024 · on the f90 m5 you can do this through MDM settings. you can cycle through 4WD Sport and RWD. Not sure if the same applies to the x5. _____

Feb 15, 2024 · The G05 X5 appears to be a pretty reliable vehicle according to Consumer Reports. In particular the B58 engine + ZF8 transmission should be practically bomb proof, so nothing much to worry about there.

Mar 27, 2025 · The point about AWD wet traction is well-taken but I felt the trade-off for a newer X5 with a couple years left on the CPO warranty and more options was worth it. If and when I order a brand new one it will probably be xDrive.
