Feb 19, 2015 · I bought a new one, PEG 132B with a RTL8169SC chipset. Also didn't show up on LSPCI. I installed the drivers with make install and everything seemed to work, but nothing appears on ifconfig or lspci. As you can probably tell I don't have much experience with linux anyway, so I'm kinda lost here. Both my nic say they are compatible with linux.

Jan 30, 2010 · so if the computer internet connection has worked before with the same NIC wire and switch/router then we can assume the problem is in the software. most likely you didnt configure the ethernet device upon setup. try ifconfig -a to list all the devices, i dont think its eth0 in solaris, but either way hopefully the kernel knows of another device and theres no IP address assigned to it. you can ...
