Evangelion Unit-00 (エヴァンゲリオン 零号機 (ぜろごうき), Evangerion Zerogōki?) is the first functional Evangelion unit created, serving as the prototype for the rest of the Evangelion series. It is piloted by Rei Ayanami. Unit-00 is the Prototype, the first successful Evangelion, and is piloted by the First Child, Rei Ayanami.

Rei Ayanami (Japanese: 綾波 レイ, Hepburn: Ayanami Rei) is a fictional character from the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise created by Gainax. In the anime series of the same name, Rei is an introverted girl chosen as the enigmatic pilot of a giant mecha named Evangelion Unit 00.

In Neon Genesis Evangelion: Campus Apocalypse, the Eva are not mecha, but individual wieldable weapons used in combat by Shinji and the other characters. [221] They are the manifestations of the deeper inner self of the protagonists; Rei has a spear, Asuka a whip, Kaworu a sword, and Shinji a gun. [222]

Rei Ayanami, the pilot of a giant mecha named Evangelion, is subjected with her Unit 00 to a test by operatives of the special agency Nerv. During the test, Eva-00 malfunctions, smashing the walls and windows of the room before eventually coming to a stop.

Unit 00 (零号機 Zerogōki), is the Prototype, the first successful Evangelion, and is piloted by the First Child, Rei Ayanami. The head design is similar to that of the previous failed attempts, but with only one eye.

To people new to the Evangelion series, Unit 00 was the mecha of Rei. And being an artificial human, Rei had no living mother to inhabit the prototype. But since an EVA Unit had a soul, then who could that be, or WHAT could that be?

As Bardiel, it was savagely torn apart by Unit 01, after the control of Unit 01 was switched from Shinji to the Dummy Plug system, designed to simulate Rei Ayanami as the pilot. Toji, the pilot, is severely injured in the anime, but in the manga he dies.

May 27, 2021 · With sculpting done by Tomohide Enoki, this figure very much captures how Rei appears in the movie. But the highlight of this release is the inclusion of parts to recreate her farming get up. This is mostly the stuff she wears on her head, as well as some vegetables.
