I use Microsoft's Mac client, so I have no experience there. Remmina and x2go both list RDP in their feature sets.

Oct 23, 2020 · With both you install the Desktop Environment(DE) on the system and than depending on if you use xrdp or x2go you use that appropriate client to connect. x2go uses the ssh protocol and xrdp is rdp protocol.

Checking the issue online didn't seem to bring up anything that would fix the issue. I've also confirmed that I can remotely access from other sources (like my cellphone), with said other source using other RDP clients.

Were you using the correct domain-name in the login information? My employers have a domain/workgroup that has to be specified as well as the usual username/password.
