Jun 25, 2009 · the r6s has better midrange, the r6v has more top end power. the r6v has radial brakes and inverted forks, the r6s does not (except the 05). the seating position is slightly more comfortable on the r6s.

Apr 7, 2008 · It's the exact same. The R6S is a continuing production of the '03-'04 R6 (the '05 was slightly different). The only thing that's different now with the "S" vs. the '03-'04 R6 is paint/decal schemes.

May 1, 2007 · there's the R6r and the R6s... R6r is the race bike. Not the most street friendly ride but makes a great track weapon. R6s is the street bike. Essentially its the '03 R6 with a different paint scheme. Both are still fast, lack bottom end power but solid as a rock thru turns.

Feb 15, 2015 · You have a black(raven) 2006 R6. Most people on here will refer to it as an R6r to differentiate between the 2006 R6(what you have) and R6S model.

Sep 19, 2023 · The R6 is the track weapon, comes with an upside front fork. R6s is the street version, essentially the same bike overall, but with a right side up telescopic front fork. Could be wrong but I don’t think the 2007 had an R6r version, unless I just can’t find anything about it 🤷‍♂️

May 13, 2013 · I don't know about anyone else but to me the R6s seemed a lot easier to ride fast, than the R6r. It's actually got me considering trying to trade my R6r for a R6s. Any opinions?

Oct 6, 2008 · r6 comes with a 18k rpm redline, r6s is like 16.5k (not sure on the exact figures, but you get the idea) ......... just to name a few basically the r6s is just a 2003 r6, they just change the colors and styling a tiny bit each year.

There is only 1 R6 after 2006 in the UK, and its what you are reffering to as the R6R. In the US Market they sell an R6S, its the same as a 2005 model, but goes through to 09, they also run the R6R next to it, which is just our 2006+ R6.
