I mixed refrigerants. R22 and 407C. And ran the system for a day.
Feb 10, 2021 · I put R22 in a 407c condensing unit. It was to replace some loss, and wasn't a large percentage, but maybe 10%. It ran for nearly 24 hours before I discovered the mistake. It cooled well enough. There was no excessive current draw. There was high head pressure. I would like to replace the refrigerant and have everything be just fine. What are my chances?
Will R407c Work In A R410a Condenser? - HVAC-Talk
Aug 9, 2018 · The compressor pumps a fixed volumetric capacity and depending on the refrigerant that equates to a different btu output. Since the same volume pumped of 407c versus 410A is 35% less BTU the 410A condenser coils will be 35% oversized and therefore 35% more efficient so the head pressure will be slightly closer to ambient than a normally sized ...

Apr 17, 2019 · I am looking to change refrigerants on a Trane Condensing unit: CAUJC6042B1300 Trane compressors are Model # CSHA150K0E00 Part # 570010151109 COM06438 We are replacing the micro channel condensers and the customer wants to get rid of R22 Is there any issues anyone knows if we put R407C?
Replacing r407a with r407c... - HVAC-Talk
Feb 19, 2015 · Since R407A is designed to replace R404A or R507 in low and medium temperature applications and R407C is intended as a replacement for R22 in air conditioning applications, I'd say using R407C is the correct way to go. If the existing A/C system has R407A, then is was mis-applied.
Topped up 407C with 404A - HVAC-Talk
Oct 19, 2019 · Topped up a 404A system with approx 3lbs of 404A. What I didn't know that the system was changed to 407C at some point. Total gas inside around 110lbs. Don't think it's a big deal as they are both blend gasses and use the same oil. What do you guys think. Everything working well atm.
R407C compared to R22 - HVAC-Talk
Jul 20, 2019 · We work on big bus systems, (roughly 6-7 tons) -- seems like R407C has somewhat more head than what we expected against R22 -- we thought 250 to 265 maybe... what have you fellows found?
What is the difference between 407A & 407C - HVAC-Talk
Jun 4, 2013 · Yes; I know that one is for A/C and the other for refrigeration - but what I want to know is WHY? What is the difference between the two refrigerants? What difference does it make if I use 407A in an air conditioning application or use a 407C in a refrigeration application?
407A VS 407C - HVAC-Talk
Oct 14, 2018 · Basically, If you use R407C for MT or LT you will get very high discharge gas temperatures and R407A for A/C you would lose capacity.
R407C in a R410A compressor - HVAC-Talk
Mar 5, 2023 · We are a local manufacturer of air cooled chillers. in our units we use R407C as refrigerant so our condensers max allowable pressure is 32bar (464.121 psi). But for this unit and the compressor model in copeland ZP (due to limited equipment on the market).
Has anyone used R407c PLUS? - HVAC-Talk
Sep 15, 2018 · The Trane green scrolls do NOT like r407c. But at my local Trane supplier they told me to use r407c plus. I opted to use r22 instead of trying the plus thing. But if Trane was recommending it then maybe it’s worth a shot. NO I DID NOT SAY ITS APPROVED BY TRANE! Also this is another reason I chose not to use it. When there is a problem I am the one that will …
