The Quad FM3 tuner is a self-powered tuner designed for use with the Quad 33/303 amplifier. It incorporates auto- matic mono-stereo switching but it also provides a mono output on a separate pin of the DIN plug which can be selected by the control unit, so as to override the auto- matic switching under difficult reception conditions.

Oct 4, 2005 · Quad 303, 33 & FM3 Opinions, info please! Came across a classic Quad package. It consists of the 303 power amp, the FM 3 tuner, and 33 pre amp. Has all the cables and owners manuals. Everything is working fine (so the owner said over the phone). I know it is 45watts Per Channel.... how would this go feeding my B&W DM6 Speakers?

Nov 20, 2020 · I had a Quad FM3 which I bought secondhand in 1988 as part of a system which included the 33 Control Unit, 303 Power Amp with a pair of the original ESL speakers. The FM3 worked well, but needed a good signal to give its best.
