To solve this, Antares developed Question Bot, or QBot, a fit-for-purpose bot based on Microsoft’s Cognitive Services platform that integrates artificial intelligence capabilities into a student’s Teams environment. QBot can ‘learn,’ interceding and answering complex questions on behalf of tutors.

Aug 5, 2019 · In order to be able to respond to rising queries prompted by the enhanced student engagement encouraged by Teams, Dr Kellermann conceived Question bot – an AI infused chatbot that is able to answer student queries. It uses machine learning to build a body of knowledge that students can tap for support 24×7.

The QBot solution has the following main components: Bot Registration: The Azure Bot surfaced in a Teams channel; QBot API App Service: Provides REST APIs to support QBot functionality; Dashboard Tab: Angular 6 App surfaced as a tab in the QBot personal chat; Questions Tab: Angular 6 App surfaced as a channels tab

QBot is an automated program that conducts a conversation, through text or speech, and delivers a contextual response based on the interactions in the past between the students and tutors.

Jul 28, 2019 · With access to the right resources, Kellerman implemented QBot, an AI created by Antares (a Cloud Collective partner), that integrated into Teams. QBot would lookup the student’s specific tutor and tagged them into the Teams chat, to ensure no question went unanswered.
