Allama Iqbal Open University, the largest university of Asia in distance education, which primarily focuses on the educational needs of masses by providing quality education at their doorsteps all over the country and by blurring spatial and temporal boundaries.

The University has divided its study programs into semesters each spanning to six months. Students study their courses, prepare assignments, and also do preparation for exams within a semester and later on they participate in exams at end of each semester.
