Aug 26, 2008 · I have a qsig trunk between Avaya and Nortel. Everything is up and working but the Nortel side has a backup system if the main system goes down because it is a hospital. When the back up system kicks on the qsig b-channels do not come back up without resetting them. Does anyone know if this is a setting that is not set right or its just how it is.

I attempted to change the signaling from ISIG to NI-2 but I received a sorry charlie stating the following msg: the configuration cannot be saved, ISA does not support NI-2.

Nov 14, 2005 · telcomwork, q.sig is a variant of isdn protocol. it is not possible to have q.sig without signaling group but it is possible to have one or more ds1 trunks without signaling channel using non-facility associated signaling. but for a q.sig trunk group to function there must be at least one signaling channel over one of the ds1s.

Feb 17, 2013 · ESIG and ISIG are both QSIG only 2 different versions of QSIG. Lets say dialects. Compare it with US English and UK English. They are both English but with small differences. sick/ill, pants/trousers, lift/elevator I think in your case it would be easiest to ask the Cisco vendor which version of QSIG they use.

The separated option is provided by an MSDL card 4 ports with PRI - MSDL cable or the onboard daughterboard 2 ports for that particular PRI DDP card.

Nov 25, 2004 · Has anyone ever used QSIG over IP trunks between a Definity and an IP Office? We are having some issues with a couple of things, mainly not hearing the tones when you dial numbers, not hearing any ringback when you are calling certain numbers, and losing audio when someone on the Definity calls over the IP trunk into a conference bridge.
