My overall experience at Purdue as a senior AAE student ... - Reddit
Apr 12, 2022 · Actually, since I am admitted to 2020 FYE curriculum but switched to AAE in the same year and rushed through it in 1.5 years, 2020 AAE curriculum was not set to my case; I'm probably a D&C in the Purdue system, as my advisor said I'm officially ASA student but I can pick former D&C courses (which is sum of A&C and ASA) for my AAE spec requirements.

Apr 15, 2022 · Autonomy and Control: AAE 301/364 Propulsion: AAE 333/334 Structures & Materials: AAE 352 I would try to decide for/against propulsion first, since you will need to decide between AAE 338 (prop required) and AAE 339 (everything else required) junior year, which will lock you into either propulsion or not propulsion.

AAE203 & ME200 Tips : r/Purdue - Reddit
Aug 2, 2022 · For AAE 203, you might want to review your vector math. I don't remember having in-class quizzes in either class. For both classes the questions were hand-picked and distributed in PDF form. ME 200 has a textbook, AAE 203 just has a big notes packet/"textbook" on Brightspace that you can download for free. Good luck!

May 21, 2020 · AAE is also going to be exponentially harder. AAE 203 is arguably one of the hardest initial engineering classes out at Purdue, behind only ECE201. So maybe not being placed in AAE right now means you will not fail classes that will cost you a couple of semesters. With this in mind, keep at it!
What piece of advice do you wish you had going into AAE? : …
May 19, 2021 · The math in AAE is largely Ma261 and Ma266/303 based. If you’ve already taken Calc 3, make sure you are prepared to apply it, and if you’re taking it this sem, pay attention religiously and understand everything as best you can. It was the hardest math class for me and came back to bite me in AAE 333, 334, 339.

Mar 30, 2023 · Other classes I took: AAE550: nice class, dr. Crossley’s lectures were good. More or less a math class where Matlab is key. Weekly or biweekly hw (I don’t remember) and a final project. If you are considering doing an online masters through purdue in AAE systems I would consider waiting to take it then.

Dec 8, 2021 · AAE 552 Nondestructive Eval of Materials is definitely on the easier side of Aero and taught by Tallman who is great; it's a structures course. AAE 590 Spaceflight Ops is also great and rather easy compared to the rest of Aero.
The difficulty spike in AAE is too damn high : r/Purdue - Reddit
Sep 20, 2019 · Purdue has an accredited AAE program and just a great engineering program in general so you're getting your education from one of the best places. Just don't give up and fall into mindset that you're not going to make it. We all are. It's a marathon unfortunately, not a short Sprint to the finish. You got this!
