Jun 17, 2020 · As of recent news, the state has increased fact protection from frauds. Because a lot of scammers stole information in Hawaii and using it to apply for UI or PUA or other programs. So hopefully this answered ya'll questions. Also, big buffer in the system with many people claiming for PUA recently.

Happened to parents. Initially i applied for pua for us 3, but after 2ish months, they couldnt get it no more because they had w-2 and qualified for regular UI. I am still on pua because im am sole pripriotorship (cant spell), but parents are collecting from regular UI.

Apr 10, 2021 · Pua kala is also a member of Argemone, Argemone glauca. It's the only prickly poppy species not native to North America. No idea how its seeds got to Hawaii, they're a bit large for airborne spread, and the poisonous resin should have discouraged birds from eating them.

Jul 1, 2024 · The temporary PUA department dealing with the claims is down to a handful of people and now they are just waiving the PUA amount as long as you complete the Overpayment Fact-Finding Waiver, since they don't have the manpower or the resources to keep the department going.

May 27, 2020 · I’m in Hawaii. I got denied unemployment so I applied for pua. I got approved and was paid out back pay. Then I got a letter saying there is still a pending unemployment case. Unemployment called me and denied me again. Now the pua is saying I’m denied and stop payment but the unemployment issue is resolved and I have no way to restart pua.
