Psion's already have pretty good AC with Psionic Defenses, but if you want to focus on melee, picking Shield proficiency can be a good idea, it's just a bit harder than that. Iron Templar talent on Nullification is, I think, the only place inside the class to get shield proficiency without multiclassing or feats.

May 24, 2020 · Psion does offer Borrowed Instinct (+20 accuracy), which would be useful for an offensive caster such as a Bloodmage or Fury. However, if you compare this to the Fighter's Conqueror Stance (+10 accuracy) and Disciplined Strikes (+5 PER and 25% Hit-to-Crit), Psion doesn't offer much advantage.

Feb 29, 2024 · The real trick to Vitalist is multiplicative scaling with Spirit of Many. It's just much more efficient to heal 4 people for 12 and redistribute 48 healing than to heal one person for 21, and it gets even better with more levels.

I'm playing a Blue Goblin Nomad Psion. Take Fast Step in order to use your Nomad's Step CF as a move action. May 8, 2022 · If I was playing a psion (my favorite class btw) with 5e rules, I would just use the warlock as a template and just homebrew all of the abilities and powers. Reskin Eldritch Blast into a psychic version. Reskin Mage Hand into a minor telekinesis. Reskin Message into a single target minor telepathy.

Aug 10, 2020 · Psion will never generate focus as well as any other Cipher. Upper cap baseline without PL investments is 5 focus per second. That's 6 seconds to cast most of the bread and butter PL3 spells for the Psion. It's 12 seconds to recast Amplified Wave and 18 seconds for 1000 Cuts. Any other Cipher can generate that much focus in a fraction of the time.
