Jul 23, 2023 · If you haven’t tried Prey on PS5, this is a warning to stay away from it. The PS4 version works fine. But it wasn’t optimized for PS5. The game lags when you turn the camera and barely reaches 30fps. To put it simply, either find some way to alert Bethesda to this, or stay away from this version of the game like your life depends on it.

Nov 24, 2022 · Prey on playstation consoles is locked at 30fps, optimized for last gen consoles. It never received a performance patch to uncap the framerate. The Dishonored games also have this problem which is unfortunate, since the Dishonored series and Prey are some of my favorite games of all time.

Nov 11, 2020 · Prey was one of the games that didn’t appear to work properly with PS5. Today, an update has been released for PS4 that could fix the compatibility. Sony has added a disclaimer for PS4 games that may face issues on the PS5 when played through backward compatibility.

Hey i just got my PS5 and i tested Prey in it, from menu to game (new game) it loads in 30 seconds. It unfortunately does not run at 60fps but we might get this later on.
