Feb 2, 2025 · Great starting point for a high end build. For a high end production 1911 Dan Wesson is hard to beat. For a semi production gun Nighthawk, Wilson or for that matter Keith over at the Dan Wesson Custom Shop runs a good operation too. For full custom; I like Stan Chen. Over all the most gun for the least amount of money; I'd have to say Tisas again.

Dec 10, 2024 · Also, the OP appears to be trying long range for fun with his 243 deer gun. I applaud him, that is a way to learn about his gun and gear and ability. That said, I have 24x scopes, But the highest on a hunting gun is 16x. There is a lot of wobble factor in hunting shooting positions and too much power is bad.

Dec 6, 2024 · I got a check from a gun consignment in the mail yesterday and took it back to the same shop today, not expecting to buy anthing but just to say thanks on the sell. Low and behold, I saw something under the glass that needed a new home. I don't know how I did on it, but it is a nice Mauser pistol. The serial number fits for a late wartime piece.
