Jun 20, 2024 · By second half of 80s, Soviet light industry finally picked up the idea and started producing its own chest rigs, commonly known as “Poyas-A, model 1986”. These had three pockets, two magazines each, four grenade pockets and two loops for flares.

Soviet army chest rig Belt-A (Poyas-A). Wooden fasteners, made in USSR in 1987-1988. Used condition, without defects. Issued for KGB, GRU forces in Afghanistan. You can see this chest rig at many documentary photos from Aghanistan. Also there was at leat one CSN FSB servicemen in Beslan in 2004 equipped with such belt (may be actually this item).
