To me if you want a Porsche, only the cayman or 911 (and taycan if you want a sports EV) makes sense to buy. I certainly won’t buy a Porsche SUV when there are equally good alternatives in the market that consumes lesser fuel.

So I live near Toronto, and ever since last year, there's a boom in the number of Porsche Cayenne's on the street. In fact they are one of the most common SUVs here and one can spot them everyday whenever you go out. What is going on with this boom?

Jan 30, 2023 · Whenever I see Porsche cost is high, it is because people just drop it off at a dealer and they charge insane labor rates. Doesn't matter the brand, dealers are for warranty work.

Nov 19, 2023 · Yes it's a real Porsche. It gets some hate from purists obviously because the Cayenne based on the Volkswagen MLB platform that was originally developed by Audi. (The MLB Evo is also used by the Audi Q7 and the VW Touareg, among others). But it's a fantastic Porsche SUV, along with the smaller Macan (which is also based on the MLB).

I'm just concerned that when actively looking to purchase a vehicle with overlanding as a main element, your first thought is a Porsche lmao. All seriousness though, look for a ZJ or Wj grand Cherokee or an XJ If you can find it.
