Ponyo's Sisters (ポニョの妹達 , Ponyo no Imōtotachi) are the younger sisters of Ponyo. They are the daughters of Granmamare and Fujimoto. They seem to love their older sister, Ponyo, often schooling around her in the film, treating her like a leader.

Ponyo's sisters are Fujimoto's younger daughters. Like Ponyo, they do not seem to respect their father very much. Ponyo's sisters help her escape from the bubble Fujimoto puts her in and they also cause Fujimoto to fall into the water while he is trying to find Ponyo in Sosuke's home.

Fujimoto, a wizard who was once a human, lives underwater with his daughter Brunhilde and her numerous smaller sisters, who are goldfish-like creatures with human faces. While she and her siblings are on an outing with their father in his four-flippered submarine, Brunhilde sneaks off and floats away on the back of a jellyfish.

Granmammare (グランマンマーレ Guranmanmāre) is the mother of Ponyo and her sisters and the wife of Fujimoto, as seen in the film Ponyo. Granmammare is a sea goddess, capable of changing her humanoid form at will. She initially appears enormous; possibly as big as, if not bigger than, a Blue Whale.

Dec 21, 2020 · It's natural for siblings to look alike, but every single one of Ponyo's siblings looks the same. Although it is probably the film's way of making it easier for the viewers to tell which fish are related to Ponyo, it robs them of any identity outside of that.
