Mar 9, 2006 · Thankfully, the Polk R30 speakers will have none of that. They are as neutral sounding speakers as you are ever likely to find anywhere. The sound is emotional and transparent with excellent transients that only serve to make the speakers disappear.

May 9, 2012 · Polk R50, R300 and M50 owners take note. TIM {Transient Intermodulation Distortrion} is rarely mentioned by receiver manufacturers and appears to be a concern of AudioSource designers. The AMP 102’s transient attack and ability to double its power when called upon is stunning.

Jul 18, 2002 · The Polk SDA series were fabulous as well. In my opinion Polk speakers since then,just dont have the the same sonics or build quality.Guess like other speaker companies,have had to compromise somewhere to stay in business. Clearly Polk could reissue these speakers again,provided of course the sonics were the same as the orginals.

Jul 20, 2002 · No Doubt’s “Rock Steady” rocked hard—the Jamaican dance beats pumped from my Polk RT25i speakers and sent my sub into overdrive. Ditto for Macy Gray’s “The Id.” However, I think this table’s strength is jazz and classical music. Maybe it’s because the sweet spot on my Rotel/Polk setup is the midrange.

Mar 28, 2025 · All my TT experience suggests that speed constancy, the ability to maintain a single speed despite stylus drag, belt slip, belt creep, motor inaccuracy, etc, is much more important than speed accuracy (meaning centering a varying speed around 33.33 rpm but allowing for up and down drift of up to 1.0 rpm or even a little more).

Oct 26, 2005 · I have auditioned the Polk Audio Lsi-15 speaker and agree that it is a great speaker. I have not always understood the bashing of Polk. I bought the Polk Monitor 10B in 1980 and it still sounds very good today. Robert Reina of Stereophile rated the Polk RT 25i the best small speaker below $1,000 about 3 years ago.
