Dec 14, 2020 · I think you are misunderstanding the description of the product - it is a standard gas spring VESA arm mount that clamps to a desk. The "universal" part of the description refers to the fact that it will fit any VESA monitor, not that it attaches to an existing monitor stand/mount.
