Jun 6, 2024 · I haven't been to Trieste, but I found Piran to be quite unremarkable (in contrast with the rest of Slovenia, which was sublime). Nice seafood and pretty views, but seemed mostly tailored to elderly vacationers on deck chairs. Depends what you're looking for.

Nov 29, 2021 · I am planning a trip to Slovenia and was planning on doing 1 night in Trieste Italy and 1 night in Piran. Are they worth visiting? Piran accommodation is much more expensive than the other places I am going in Slovenia. I'll be travelling solo. Any other suggestions for Slovenia? Is Bovec worth it? I'd like to do some adventuring but I'd have to rent a car to get there.
