The Piltun-Astokhskoye-B (PA-B) platform is the largest oil and gas production platform in the Sakhalin-2 project, located 12 km offshore the coast of Sakhalin Island, in the Piltun area of the Piltun-Astokhskoye field.

The Sakhalin-2 (Russian: Сахалин-2) project is an oil and gas development in Sakhalin Island, Russia. It includes development of the Piltun-Astokhskoye oil field and the Lunskoye natural gas field offshore Sakhalin Island in the Okhotsk Sea, and associated infrastructure onshore.

The Piltun-Astokhskoye-B (PA-B), the largest platform of the Sakhalin-2 project, is a drilling, processing and production platform that has been extracting oil and aassociated gas from the Piltun reservoir since 2008.

By now, three gravity base offshore platforms are installed: Piltun- Astokhskoye-A (PA-A, or Molikpaq), Piltun-Astokhskoye-B (PA-B) and Lunskoye-A (LUN-A). They are equipped with drill slots and drilling rigs.

Dec 23, 2008 · First oil has begun from the Piltun-Astokhskaya-B (PA-B) platform in the Piltun area of the Piltun-Astokhskoye field, according to Sakhalin Energy.

«PA- B» is the largest platform, established on the project «Sakhalin−2». The base of the platform is a gravitational type ferroconcrete base with four pillars, on which there are the upper structure of the platform with process facilities.
