The PIK-20 is a Standard Class sailplane designed at the Helsinki University of Technology by Pekka Tammi, with advice from Ilkka Rantasalo and Raimo Nurminen. NASA 803 was the designation of this PIK-20E sailplane flown at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, California, between 1981 and 1991. It was used as a research aircraft on projects calling for high lift-over-drag and low-speed performance.

At present the report contains the most complete overview on PIK-20D fa-tigue and shows that there are no known fatigue problems.
