Peridot, on the other hand, started as a "Stop having fun guys" kind of person with 0 empathy, but slowly developed into someone who was willing to experiment new things (Something that took the OG Crystal Gems a LOT more to do), assimilated earth customs rather quickly, and and came to enjoy life in a way almost none of the other characters did.

Peridot is herself learning about relationship and behavior coming fresh from Gem society wheres Lapis has an even more isolated case of having only known gem society but it thousands of years out of date.

Peridot is only calm when things are operating normally to Homeworld's standards. If things aren't going as planned then the facade drops, immediately. We see this even in Season 1. In fact, her debut episode (the one where she's doing menial routine checkups by herself) is the only one that seems to be calm and collected.

I’ve really enjoyed Peridot so far and love the procedural breeding mechanics. I’m looking to find a game that has something similar, but isn’t restricted to mobile devices - sort of like Pokémon breeding, but it doesn’t even need to have battling.

She's also very passionate and outspoken, and the Crewniverse have fun humanising her through those things and playing around with her visual motifs (one moment she's a cat, then she's a kid etc.).

Keepers can collect Nest parts while foraging in range of a Habitat, which is the Peridot equivalent of PokéStops. Nests will be automatically crafted once you collect enough Nest Parts. There are many types of Nests and each can yield a different Archetype of Peridot.

All I'm saying is, Peridot's the first gem character I remember who became friends with Steven, that didn't have issues with Rose. Or got directly/indirectly involved in the rebellion. And I honestly like that. She's someone who met the non-gem/not-Rose/not-Pink, human Steven first. (Shove these wholesome images down your throats! See?
