Cloning and characterization of the pepE gene of Aspergillus …
Aug 5, 1994 · We have cloned the pepE gene of Aspergillus niger, encoding an aspartic protease (PEPE), by screening a lambda genomic DNA library with a heterologous probe, the Neurospora crassa gene coding for a vacuolar proteinase.
Cloning and characterization of the pepE gene of Aspergillus …
Aug 5, 1994 · We have cloned the pepE gene of Aspergillus niger, encoding an aspartic protease (PEPE), by screening a λ genomic DNA library with a heterologous probe, the Neurospora crassa gene coding for a vacuolar proteinase. Sequencing of pepE genomic and cDNA clones revealed that the gene contains three introns, which are 91, 56 and 58-bp long.
Dipeptidase E - Wikipedia
Dipeptidase E (EC 3.4.13.21, aspartyl dipeptidase, peptidase E, PepE gene product (Salmonella typhimurium)) is an enzyme. [1] [2] This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction. Dipeptidase E catalyses the hydrolysis of dipeptides Asp!Xaa. It does not act on peptides with N-terminal Glu, Asn or Gln, nor does it cleave isoaspartyl peptides
Characterization of a thiol-dependent endopeptidase from …
An endopeptidase gene (pepE) was isolated from a previously constructed genomic library of Lactobacillus helveticus CNRZ32. The pepE gene consisted of a 1,314-bp open reading frame encoding a putative peptide of 52.1 kDa.
Molecular cloning and targeted deletion of - ScienceDirect
Mar 1, 2000 · PEP2 showed a 64% identity with the vacuolar proteinase A (PrA), of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and an 88% identity with PEPE, an aspartic proteinase of Aspergillus niger. Recombinant PEP2 was over-expressed in Pichia pastoris and the active enzyme was secreted into the culture supernatant.
