The GE U30C is a six-axle locomotive built by General Electric from 1966 to 1976. With 600 units sold, the U30C proved to be a viable alternative for customers who were unable to purchase SD40s from Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) due to production backlog.

One of only five PC U30Cs, the 6535 still wears her PRR number and faded keystones. She would later be renumbered to CR 6835. Date of photo approximate.

Apr 16, 2012 · Here is the most recent list of Penn Central's motive power. I haven't updated it since 2003 or 2004 so you'll notice no GEVO's or ACe's on it. When I get a chance, i'll figure out a newer update but figured this would give you a baselline on what we run.
