Jan 3, 2019 · The "TWO PENCE" reverse was introduced about a decade later. The confusion probably comes from the fact that in 1983 the Royal Mint struck some Two Pence coins that still read "NEW PENCE", where the regular coins of 1983 read "TWO PENCE". This coin is valuable and worth even worn but GENUINE several hundred dollars.

Oct 6, 2020 · Ebay.co.uk has a bunch of "tricky" 2P coins for sale that are NOT the 1983 NEW PENCE type - the one that actually has value. They are NEW PENCE from years that were prior to the change in 1982 to TWO PENCE. Caveat emptor.

It has NOT been milled or machined off in any way. It weighs EXACTLY what other New 2 Pence coins do. Searched all over the net, and not a single mention of another one like it. Comments?
