Test on known app. Reseat the AAAA battery in the pen, and test on known app (Change the battery in Surface Pen). Open pen and remove and reinstall the same battery to ensure good connection. My screen is working perfectly, it even detects the backside of the pen, it is just the tip of the pen is not detected by the screen (I tried switching the tip but it did not make a difference) beside this, the screen works with touch as well.
