Aug 24, 2010 · My ducks hatched out six babies (without my permission) about a month ago. The moms are fawn and white runners and dads are buff, rouen, and pekin. Two of them look exactly like my Pekin. Pure white, bigger than the others and you can't see any runner in there. Don't know how it will work with black though. Here are my babies.

My avatar shows a white Black Swedish duck. 15% Of Swedish carry a recessive gene that shows white. I didn't believe it until she hatched out Black Swedish from her and a Khaki Campbell drake!

When you cross a Muscovy drake with a large breed duck, like a Pekin, the offsping don't exhibit the gender size difference that Muscovy do and they grow a little faster. The only down side is Pekin aren't typically broody (I don't incubate) so maybe another large breed

Dec 22, 2016 · Muscovy - other duck breed crosses (including Pekin) are likely to be infertile, fyi. I tried quite a few times to cross a Muscovy drake over other females. But the eggs were consistently infertile; then I learned that while they can breed, they only have about 30% fertility if left to nature. I gave up after that. Congrats on the cross, very neat.

Apr 28, 2014 · Hi, Kelly, I have a pekin hen & rouen drake and I hatched 9 eggs in my incubator. They look more like rouens with wierd white striping around the neck (developing/showing later in the drakes) and all have wierd white feathers around the colored rouen wing feathers.
