Mar 1, 2013 · The XRD measurement indicates that PbCO 3 with an initial phase of aragonite-type structure undergoes two phase transitions at ∼7.8 GPa and ∼15.7 GPa, respectively. The higher-pressure phase appearing at ∼15.7 GPa is stable up to 51.8 GPa.
Pressure-induced phase transformations of PbCO3 by X-ray diffraction ...
Jan 9, 2016 · By employing synchrotron radiation, X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy, the high pressure structural transformations of lead carbonate PbCO 3 was investigated in diamond anvil cells up to ∼50 GPa at room temperature. Three pressure-induced transitions have been observed at ∼8.5, ∼15 and ∼26 GPa, respectively.

Oct 1, 2009 · The crystal structures of four isostructural orthorhombic carbonates, CaCO 3 (aragonite), SrCO 3 (strontianite), PbCO 3 (cerussite), and BaCO 3 (witherite), were obtained by Rietveld refinements using data acquired by synchrotron high-resolution powder X …
A high-pressure study of PbCO_3 by XRD and Raman spectroscopy
The pressure-induced phase transitions of PbCO3 are studied using synchrotron radiation in a diamond anvil cell at room temperature. The XRD measurement indicates that PbCO3 with an initial phase of aragonite-type structure undergoes two phase transitions at ~7.8GPa and ~15.7GPa respectively.
Pressure-induced phase transformations of PbCO3by X-ray diffraction …
The transition from PbCO3-I to PbCO3-II is a displacive transformation featured with anti-rotation of [CO3]2− triangles. PbCO3-II is a metastable phase because the [CO3]2− groups are in a unfixed state until they reach the equilibrium positions in PbCO3-III.
