The Patawomeck tribe of Virginia Indians is based in Stafford County, Virginia, along the Potomac River (Patawomeck is another spelling of Potomac). It is one of Virginia's 11 recognized Native American tribes.

The Patawomeck Tribe strives to positively impact, educate, and engage the Stafford/Fredericksburg community. The Tribe is currently in the process of opening a museum full of artifacts and activities to discover the history of the Patawomecks.
