Oct 4, 2020 · The more you go outward of Paris usually has more modern buildings. For example, La Defense is a business district, if you go there it's very contrast compared to inner Paris. Area that I know to be more modern is west area like Courbevoie, Puteaux, Issy-les-Moulineaux, and other further suburbs like Antony.

But Grande Ecole doesn't mean "elite", it just means that there is a selection process in admissions. But Paris-Dauphine is no longer a public university in the traditional sense, just like Sciences Po.
