Jun 17, 2024 · Vinegar is an acid. Looks like that removed the protective coating and that lock shroud is probably real brass guessing from the discoloration due to oxidation. Squirt some lock oil into it and see if that helps rotate the cylinder. You can probably clean up the lock and reuse it.
