The bad news is the included angle between the port faces on the Mopar is only 70 degrees versus 90 degrees on the Packard. I cut the intake into four pieces, then I made rectangular wooden pegs to fit in the Packard intake ports.

And pull that weird Packard V-8 motor and put in a small block Chevy,Packard didn't know much about motors. It might be difficult to adapt to your Ultra-torqueflite II, but Jim Bob and Cooter will get er' done.

I've studied it and disassembled it and have determined that adapting it to the Packard V8 is most promising and maybe even ez except for the need to turn a simple adapter sleeve on a lathe. I need to know the diameter of a Packard distributor shaft or ID of gear.

Dec 16, 2011 · I haven't tried every Packard manifold, and every available carburetor; but based on the demise of Packard prior to flange design changes in four barrel carbs about 1960, I would seriously doubt that any off-the-shelf new carb available today will bolt onto an original Packard 4 barrel manifold without modifications or an adapter.
