After looking high and low for a pole that would be easy to transport, adjustable, sturdy and inexpensive I decided to build my own. I've used them all summer and they have turned out great. I decided to construct two more for an awning off the back of my trailer.

Hanger hooks are great for hanging your clear custom tarps. They can attach to almost any surface and removal of the tarp is easy once it is no longer needed. You can get these on Amazon or any local hardware store. If you need more grommets or are simply missing them then you can use a grommet punch to quickly install them.

Cut the PVC with anything you have on hand. I used a chop saw, but a hand saw would work well as well. Following the image, cut: The roof is composed of two horizontal runners and a ridge.
