Atlantic Firearms has teamed up with PTR to deliver a new model rifle to the shooting public. The PTR 91 A3R is the first ever PTR to feature the black wide hand guard.

With a welded Picatinny rail for optics and suppressor-friendly 5/8×24 barrel threads, Atlantic’s exclusive PTR-91 A3R seemed especially appealing. After a quick chat with Atlantic’s owner, Blaine, I purchased the rifle and had it in hand less than a week later.

Nov 24, 2013 · I was browsing prices on Atlantic firearms and found the exclusive models they had the PTR91 A3R and A3S, both where 18" HK profile barrels, the A3S with the PTR aluminum narrow hand-guard and the A3R with the HK wide hand-guard.

Jan 10, 2016 · I got one of the new A3R models from Atlantic a couple of months ago and I can second everything said here. Beautiful powder finish with precise welds, smooth paddle release, soft shooting, and perfect function. 2.5" groups at 50 yards with iron sights. The rail is rock solid.

Jun 30, 2014 · I just took delivery of a new PTR91-A3R. This is the version with the wide forearm...the G3A3 German style and a welded Pickatiny Rail on top of the receiver. The rail was a plus for me as I'd seen the claw mounts and they are both a bit Rube Goldberg and made up the price difference between the A3R and the less expensive GI model.
