Jul 14, 2021 · I don't have the PTR versions of those guns but I do have an HK51 built off an FMP XG3S receiver and a G3K built off an HK91 receiver. The G3K (12" barrel) variant is infinitely more practical. Its a softer shooter, better ballistics, way less blast, longer sight radius, less proprietary parts (carrier and recoil rod), etc. etc.

Mar 1, 2017 · Checking your bolt gap (what they're referring to by "rollers") is independent of suppressing your PTR. With HK roller-locks, the angle of the locking piece relates to how quickly the bolt unlocks after firing. The lower the angle in degrees, the longer it takes to unlock the bolt.

Feb 4, 2013 · Anything mp5 should fit. At least it does on mine. I ended up ditching the mp5 forend for a 53 forend. It's a little longer and fills in the space at the back before the magwell better.

Aug 25, 2016 · I called PTR and followed their recommended break in procedure; they also recommended that I use .308 ammo for the first 50 rounds as it is loaded hotter than the 7.62x51 NATO ammo. You really are going to love your PTR PDW, everyone NEEDS a 7.62x51 NATO SBR with an 8" barrel.

Aug 14, 2017 · The new Galil ACE in .308 is sometimes compared to the SCAR, the version in 7.62 x 39 against AKs, and of course the 5.56 against any and every AR. Any actual experience with the .308 version and thoughts of spending the money to get that (not compared to a SCAR) instead of something like a PTR-91? Shot the PTR and liked the M1A better.

Oct 25, 2004 · OK guys, in no particular order, here are HK-51 dimensions. 9.540 - end of recoil spring TUBE to flat surface inside stock, where other end of spring rests. Not including tapered part in end of tube. Replace rivets with 3/32 "tension pins" $.13 each at hardware store. Grind or file flush with tube so spring doesn't catch.

May 10, 2018 · Ok ill explain it, the suppressor adds to the length of the barrel. the system is timed to open at the stock length. when you add another 10+ inches to the barrel it wont have time to bleed off the excess pressure. so when the bolt opens its over gassed/more pressure than stock. which will batter the back of the stock breaking the tack welds on the cap.
