The industrial band PTP (Programming the Psychodrill) was a short-lived side project of Wax Trax! Records artists. The first PTP track, "Show Me Your Spine," was recorded in 1986. Written by Al Jourgensen and Paul Barker of Ministry and Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy, it marked the first collaboration between the three.

PTP shows effectively combine the assessment of statistical data, such as EPDs and actual measurements, with traditional phenotype evaluation. The primary goal of the PTP program is to promote multi-level progress within the Simmental and SimGenetics industry.

PTP doesn't depend on anything special in the network, so yes it will work. However a switch that supports PTP transparent mode can cancel out its own serialization and forwarding delay, improving the overall system accuracy (or itself act as a boundary clock).
