Apr 27, 2020 · Did PSA do anything about the overinsertion issue that was reported with the gen 1 KS47s? I will say my PSA 7.62x39 16” upper is a great shooter with commercial steel and surplus Yugo, none of my AKs shoot that well. I don’t see a lot of posts on the KS47 but the gen 2s seem to be pretty reliable.

Apr 30, 2019 · Waited patiently for the 2 halves of a KS47 gen 2 in the configuration I wanted to come in stock and go on sale. Got the lower a few weeks back and finally got the 8.5” upper yesterday. Snapped them together, lubed everything up, and headed to the range. I have bought a lot of stuff from PSA and this is the first issue for me ever.

Nov 11, 2023 · The PSA KS47 upper is the only one I know of that has the over-insertion mag stops and I think the best upper for AK mag lowers....which again, is why I use the PSA KS-47 uppers with my MGI modular lower with the AK magwell.

Aug 13, 2016 · My PSA 7.62x39 AR47 has light primer strikes 1 out of 4 rounds. The ammo is Russian Barnaul white box. At first I thought the firing pin is not a 7.62x39 firing pin and PSA sent me another 7.62x39 firing pin (P/N 505873), appears to be the same as what I have already, same length same firing pin protrusion.

Feb 8, 2022 · Alright so I recently got a PSA KS-47 upper from my guy. The gen2 lowers look similar to milspec lower other than the mag well. I had a build kit and H1 buffer weight laying around and went to work. PSAs website specifically says “The KS-47 G2 upper will not work with a standard AR-15 lower." Challenge accepted, there gen2 lowers are not cheap.

Nov 11, 2020 · The PSA KS-47 takes a Unique / special BCG because of the use of the PSA custom lower to allow the use the AK format magazines. I've used "regular" AR-47 bolts (7.62x39 AR BCG) in PSA AR-47 uppers (AR in 7.62x39 using AR format mags) with good results, but think it would be a lot of non-standarized machine work to try to modify an existing BCG ...
