Feb 21, 2024 · The “slim” PS5 has ugly plastic “legs” for horizontal placement and no stand at all for vertical - it’s sold separately. Last but not least, I have read somewhere that the “slim” PS5’s disc drive is quite a bit louder than the old one - if true, that would annoy me quite a lot.

Yet it's not included and sold separately (it's slim version) It doesn't have to be included in order to be required for vertical use. Sony gives those small stands to use it in horizontal fashion. Lots of products require accessories for select use and don't include them.

It's started to overheat (since day 1, I've had it).the liquid thermal past does indeed end up running down over time (I played the F out of my ps5 and would leave it on for days at a time) but took good care of It and vacuumed the fans every 3 months.

Connect your ps5 slim to the internet. Then go to PlayStation store . Update your ps5 slim console and then restart your ps5 slim . The disk drive will start working. Sony really did something here to prevent users from staying on the factory system software and wait for a jailbreak.
