Dec 14, 2023 · PS5 HDMI port's connections sometimes get desoldered just a bit - and yes they are tiny and you'll need magnification to work on it, but it's doable. I did it on my friend's PS5 that fell on the ground when his dog got tangled into cables, and the HDMI port was pretty wrecked.

As for 3D audio, not sure, it depends on what sound quality you send via HDMI I guess, that just gets extracted and converted. So the PS5 isn't really aware it is going to headphones, so guessing it won't do the 3d audio magic for it, but I really don't know how that works.
