TRIM is not a necessary because the PS4 doesn't write/overwrite/delete as much as a PC does. You'll be fine with a SSD. edit: unless you're getting a smaller one, and are going to install/delete games a lot.

Sep 22, 2023 · From what I understand regular ps4 has a sata II port and the pro a sata III. Does the ps4 have trim for SSD? I also ask this because 2.5 inch hard drives drives I think only go to 5TB.
