Nov 29, 2021 · Due to the way PS2 games are made, the frame-rate is tied to the emulator speed. In most cases, the only way to change the games frame-rate is to go from 30 to 60 via 60 FPS patches you can find here If your CPU is under powered you can try enabled MTVU (or just select preset 3) and or setting the EE cycle rate to -1.

Sep 15, 2014 · The PS2 version of Sonic Heroes is well known to have a shit framerate compared to the GameCube version. To be honest I think it's just that standards have increased slightly and you're not used to older games. I believe the PS2 GTA games run at 25fps for example.

All games run at 30fps. Weirdly enough, the pre-rendered cutscenes in SH2 are 60fps, but only in the PS2 version, as the ports use compressed 30fps versions.
