It was time to put the old name and identity in the rear-view mirror and reinvent transit for Pittsburgh's future. The name PRT and its brand position are much more closely aligned with the region's current momentum and direction. The PRT brand reflects who we are and how the Pittsburgh region views us.

Jun 10, 2022 · Along with the new name comes a new logo: the letters PRT in yellow circles. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the rebranding is to create uniformity in the transit system’s color scheme and signage.

Jun 9, 2022 · PRT vehicles will receive decals and an entirely new design as they’re purchased. The new branding is already live on the company’s website, featuring a new logo with the letters PRT each in their own circle. Beneath the design reads its full name, Pittsburgh Regional Transit.

Jun 12, 2022 · Now in 2022, all new buses will wear blue branding with the “PRT” logo across the front and sides of the bus, at least according to Pittsburgh Regional Transit themselves.
