Tips for Union and PPC Meetings. Below are some tips for planning & facilitating PPC meetings and Union meetings with staff. Reach out to meeting participants beforehand to make sure they feel comfortable with the basics of the technology

The PPC is an important tool to enforce the contract and protect our members’ workplace rights. They are also key to organizing and empowering members to build CTU strength in every school.

Download below a toolkit which includes forms to assist you in setting up the PPC, electing its members, establishing a meeting schedule and agendas for those meetings and collecting and reporting back on the issues and problems in your building.

Mar 21, 2025 · Amid our 11-month prolonged contract battle for the schools that Chicago students and families deserve, this week, our union convened a two-day meeting of national labor and community allies planning for a day of resistance this year on May 1.

The Union will submit a list of approved members to the Chief Labor Relations Officer before each release date. Additionally, released members must inform their principals/supervisors in writing in advance.

Our citywide PPC process has included a diverse group of more than 60 rank- and-file members of our union. Our small working group sessions have intentionally grouped members from different job categories in conversation with one another to discuss various proposals.
