Mar 1, 2013 · My mobo is stock from a Dell Dimension 2400 and it only has PCI slots (no PCIe) so the current video card i have for it is an nvidia geforce 6200. What is the most powerful PCI gpu i could get? I have been looking at the nvidia GT 520, as that looks like it's better than my current geforce. Thanks guys

Nov 3, 2019 · Long story short the GPU is not detected by the BIOS or the Device Manager , when I go into the BIOS with MSI Board Explore the PCIe x16 slot appears empty despite having the GPU installed. The setup is 1 month old , until 3 days ago I used it with the integrated graphics Vega 11 and the ASRock B450m-HDV mobo and it ran perfectly.

The newest PCI cards with 9x drivers are ATI 9250 or GeForce 6200 but the BEST PCI card for a retrogaming system is undoubtedly the Voodoo 5 5500 PCI. A lot of the games from back then run GLide and look great with supersampling.
Retaining latch/clip broke off PCI-E slot. Will it be a problem?
Apr 13, 2010 · I removed my GPU earlier to clean the fans, as I've done plenty of times before. But when I went to put it back in, I noticed that the little plastic latch thing had broken off the PCI-E slot. My GPU seemed plenty secure when I tightened the screws, but I just want to make sure that losing the little latch won't cause problems down the line.

Nov 4, 2022 · Using both slots will split the bandwidth between the two slots - both will run at PCI 5.0 speeds, but with half the lanes (bandwidth), so x8 each. Whether that limits GPU performance or not will depend on how much bandwidth the specific GPU needs.

Mar 16, 2022 · The GPU currently only works in the second PCIe slot and the PC will not POST when the GPU is in the first slot. The board QLEDs cycle between the DRAM, CPU, and VGA in that order over and over and there is no display. I have also reset the CMOS and reinstalled the latest BIOS, just in case, using the BIOS flashback function.
