Jun 20, 2020 · The only reasons I can think of that might connect the failure of the video card and the failure of the serial port would be some issue with the PCI slot itself or possibly with the chipset driver. Again, however, if your system is currently working satisfactorily, I wouldn't suggest experimenting by randomly installing drivers.

Apr 9, 2010 · Printer worked. Unplugged the printer from the USB adapter and plugged it back into the parallel port card. Changed the printer to use the LPT3 device under the Ports configuration tab. Printed. This time it worked. For repeatability, I did the same thing with the other PCI parallel port card and a similar printer on another identical workstation.

Jan 30, 2025 · I reseated the graphics card last night. yes it has over clocking through Alienware command center, also MSI Afterburner can be downloaded and used. It's strange that the graphics card works fine with just battery or 180w. I'm getting good results on 3DMark.

The 'New Device Found' process didn't start. The card is not visible in DeviceManager. I manually installed the drivers & restarted - still not visible in DM.

The exact name of device you may find either thru device parameters or asking manufacturer's support. I suppose this device is not related with your BSOD. Please share memory dump to OneDrive for analysis.

May 14, 2013 · The specification also says nothing about a parallel port (Lpt1). Do you have an expansion card into which you plugging in the printer. The socket would not be in the main group of connectors but separate and in the vertical slots. Some port expansion cards had both Serial and parallel ports so this might be the missing driver.
