Sep 13, 2024 · I'm wondering how others setting their PAF heights? Any measurements? Do PAFs suffer from being too close to the strings like single coils? Sometimes matching the neck and bridge PAFs can be a bit tricky I find, unless the bridge is noticeably more overwound.

The Dirty Fingers is the only Gibby pickup hotter than a 500T as far as I know. I played a BB1 and I thought it worked excellent for metal. I think amp and pedals matter in this situation too. Aug 20, 2020 · Nice mix of a clear neck pickup and a more aggressive bridge in the medium output PAF range. A bit hotter than the Suhr pickups. Neck pickup is a little fatter and fuller but still on the clear side for humbuckers. Bridge pickup is a bit wild and aggressive with chirpy mids that would likely be noisy at high volumes (maybe lack of potting?).
