Follow your heart gives you one serving, where as doing it the way Sojiro taught you gives you two servings. I did the follow your heart option and got "Fire Curry". It recovered 20SP for one player and it did something else, but I don't recall.

Basically, Curry is better for exploring, while you want a LOT of coffee for the bosses since you can only use them during those.
