The Volvo V70 is an executive car manufactured and marketed by Volvo Cars from 1996 to 2016 across three generations. The name V70 combines the letter V, standing for versatility, [1][2] and 70, denoting relative platform size [3] (i.e., a V70 is larger than a V40, but smaller than a V90).

A new S80 was the first P3 to hit the dealerships in 2007, and it was quickly followed up by a new XC70 and V70 the following year. The last two additions to the P3 platform before the facelift were the S60 and XC60.

Nov 11, 2016 · All bumper related parts (trim, grill, covers) are V70 or XC70 specific. For the V70 they are also pre and post facelift (2nd facelift that is) specific. Applies to both front and rear bumper for V70. On XC70 everything is interchangeable with the exception of electronic bits.

The V70 brought all-new engines to the table, not using any of Volvo's "white block" inline fives or sixes in the US, but instead offering a 3.0 turbocharged or 3.2 naturally aspirated "SI6" inline six, with both engines designed by Volvo but built by Ford of Britain.

Aug 25, 2022 · From each vehicle I was able to get some plug and play items useful for anyone with a P3 that share parts between the 70/80 chassis. My first stop was Blue and Gold Auto Salvage in Goose Creek, SC. From the white V8 S80 I got: The tweeters are easily removed from the A pillar by prying them back gently.

For the 1997 model year Volvo debuted the V70 XC — an AWD, “ruggedized” version of the V70 meant to compete with Subaru and its good-selling Outback. Like the V70, it was built on the famous P80 platform and featured a bulletproof 2.4 liter 5-cylinder putting out 197 horsepower.
